How to Cook
Add 2 parts water to 1 part Ghana Best Palm Nut Soup. Boil for about 20 minutes. Add meat, fish, tomatoes or spices to your taste. My Spice Sage
For a full traditional Abɛnkwan:
- Open the Ghana Best Palm Nut Soup concentrate and pour into a large pot
- Add 2 parts water to 1 part concentrate — stir well to combine
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Add your seasoned meat or fish — chicken, goat, beef, or smoked fish
- Add tomatoes, onions, and fresh pepper to taste
- Season with Dawadawa powder, salt, and your preferred spices
- Add garden eggs or kontomire leaves if desired
- Simmer for a further 30–45 minutes until rich, thick, and deeply flavoured
- Serve hot with fufu, banku, omo tuo, or pounded yam
Tip: The more concentrate you use relative to water, the richer and deeper the soup. Start with a 1:2 ratio and adjust to your family’s preference. Adding Prekese during cooking gives an authentic depth of flavour.
