Yellow Soup, also known as Achu Soup, is a traditional dish from the Northwest Region of Cameroon. It's a rich and flavorful soup made with cocoyams, palm oil, and a blend of spices. It's typically served with Achu, which is pounded cocoyam (taro) dough. This dish is a staple in many Cameroonian households and is known for its comforting and hearty qualities.

Ingredients
    For the Yellow Soup:
  • 4 cups ⦁ meat broth (from boiled meat or fish)
  • 1 cup ⦁ hot palm oil
  • 1 thumb-sized ⦁ piece of kanwa (limestone)
  • 2 tablespoons ⦁ Achu soup spices (a blend of spices like ginger, garlic, and pepper)
  • 2 seasoning ⦁ 2-4 cubes
  • 1 large ⦁ onion (chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes ⦁ 2-3 (chopped)
  • ⦁ Salt to taste
  • For the Achu:
  • 3 pounds ⦁ cocoyams (boiled and pounded)
  • ⦁ Water (as needed for boiling)
  • ⦁ Salt to taste
