Ogbono Soup, also known as Draw Soup, is a popular Nigerian dish made from ground ogbono seeds (African bush mango seeds). It has a thick, mucilaginous (slimy) texture similar to okra soup and is often enjoyed with fufu, pounded yam, or eba. The soup is rich, flavorful, and hearty, making it a favorite in many Nigerian households.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups ⦁ ogbono seeds (ground)
  • 1 kg ⦁ assorted meat (beef, goat meat, shaki, cow feet)
  • 1 medium-sized ⦁ dry fish
  • 1 cup ⦁ stockfish
  • 2 medium ⦁ onions (sliced)
  • 2 stock ⦁ 2-3 cubes
  • 1 cup ⦁ ground crayfish
  • 1 cup ⦁ palm oil
  • 1 cup ⦁ spinach or pumpkin leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon ⦁ ground pepper
  • ⦁ Salt to taste
  • ⦁ Utazi leaves (for garnish, optional)
