Description

Ndombè, also known as Banga Soup, is a rich and flavorful soup made from palm nuts. It's a popular dish in Cameroon and other West African countries, often enjoyed with starchy sides like fufu, garri, or pounded yam.

Ingredients
  • 1 kg ⦁ fresh palm nuts (or 400g palm nut cream)
  • 500 grams ⦁ beef, tripe, or smoked turkey, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup ⦁ dried fish, soaked and cleaned
  • 1 cup ⦁ ground crayfish
  • 2 large ⦁ onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, ⦁ chopped
  • 2 cloves ⦁ garlic, minced
  • 1 habanero ⦁ pepper (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ⦁ salt
  • 2 teaspoons ⦁ seasoning powder or bouillon cubes
  • 3 cups ⦁ 3-4 water
  • ⦁ Fresh spinach or waterleaf (optional)
  • 1 Oburunbebe ⦁ stick (optional, for added flavor)
  • 1/2 cup ⦁ palm oil
